From May 27–29, Michigan State University will welcome alums back for Spartan Reunion 2026. Open to all alums, Spartan Reunion offers a rare opportunity: time on campus without the pressures that once defined it. No rigid schedules to follow, no exams at the end — just 48 hours to explore, reconnect and experience MSU in a whole new way.
Whether it’s your first visit back in decades or a return you’ve made many times before, Spartan Reunion is designed to meet you where you are. Walk familiar paths. Revisit favorite spots. Or finally step inside the places you always meant to explore but never had time for.
This year’s reunion holds special significance for the Class of 1976, who will be honored as they celebrate their 50-year milestone — continuing a long-standing tradition that recognizes the lifelong connection between Spartans and their alma mater.
Throughout the event, alums can truly choose their own experience — with a mix of scheduled events and open time to explore campus at their own pace. Sit in on a faculty-led session and dive into a topic you’ve never studied before. Take advantage of exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours of both iconic and innovative campus spaces — from Spartan Stadium to the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, where groundbreaking research is shaping the future.
Moments of connection are woven throughout the weekend. Spartans can gather for special events like the Alumni Vow Renewal — a meaningful and memorable experience — or reconnect with friends during evening celebrations at the Breslin Center and beyond.
Longstanding traditions remain at the heart of the experience. Climb the steps of Beaumont Tower. Explore the MSU Libraries. Step inside the newly reopened MSU Museum. Reconnect with the stories and spaces that defined your time as a student — while creating new ones along the way.
