Get excited, ice cream lovers—there’s a new flavor scooping at the MSU Dairy Store.
Far Better Swirl’d is vanilla ice cream mixed with buttery fudge, brownie bites and chocolate chunks “swirled together the way Spartan generosity turns uncommon will into a far better world.”
A tasty nod to MSU’s $4 billion campaign, Uncommon Will. Far Better World, this special edition flavor is a celebration of the impact made by you, alums and friends of the university, during the campaign’s first year.
It’s currently scooping through April and is likely to make another appearance later this year. At the moment, it’s only available in the MSU Dairy Store, but that’s just another excuse for a visit.
The MSU Dairy Store is a campus institution. Its impact on Michigan State has grown in recent years, and Dairy Store Manager Aaron Weiner says the future is bright. “We’ve barely scratched the surface of what the dairy store and the dairy plant could be doing,” he said.
They’ve been enhancing their online presence through social media and a dedicated website that offers gift cards, specials and the daily scoop selection. Plus, the shop is gearing up to sell MSU Dairy Store products throughout the state, and potential for nationwide shipping is in the works.
But for now, according to Weiner, the best way to support the Dairy Store is to “come on in and get some ice cream.”
Weiner looks forward to hearing reactions to Far Better Swirl’d. “I’m excited. A lot of the flavors we do are short runs, or made for a one-off event,” he said. “This is one we’ll see for a while. And it’s just a good flavor. People are going to like it.”
