Green and Glorious: A Look Back at Homecoming 2025

Spartans celebrated Homecoming Oct. 6-11 with a variety of activities that turned campus into a sea of green and white. From campus glowing green to the Homecoming parade and football game, the week brought together students, alums and friends in a powerful display of what it means to be a Spartan.

From glowing green lights across campus to the iconic Homecoming parade and game-day energy, 2025 Homecoming week brought Spartans together in a celebration of pride, tradition and connection. The week honored community spirit and Spartan excellence in the past, present and future.

MSU and the East Lansing community lit up in vibrant green for Glow Green, a spirited tradition that transformed homes, businesses and campus landmarks into a glowing display of Spartan pride. The lights reflected more than just color — they illuminated the shared excitement of students, alums and community members coming together to celebrate what it means to be a Spartan.

 
Homecoming Court Reception

Twelve outstanding seniors were honored as members of the 2025 Homecoming Court, recognized for their leadership, integrity and embodiment of the Spartan experience. Court members connected with President Kevin Guskiewicz at a special reception and represented the best of MSU's future alum community.

This year's Grand Marshal, Paul Rosenberg ('93), brought star power and Spartan pride to the celebration. A global force in the music industry — known for his work with Eminem, Def Jam Recordings and film productions like 8 Mile — Rosenberg's return to campus highlighted the impact of how Spartans shape culture worldwide.

Downtown East Lansing came alive on Friday night as the Homecoming Parade marched through the streets with the Spartan Marching Band, student organizations, community groups and, of course, Sparty himself. Laughter, cheers and green-and-white spirit lined the parade route, celebrating the unity that defines the Spartan community.

 
Football Finale

Homecoming Week culminated in Saturday's showdown between MSU and UCLA at Spartan Stadium. The stands were packed, the crowd roared and Spartan pride was on full display — a fitting end to a week that celebrated the strength, energy and enduring traditions of Michigan State University.
