Dean Fealk, a proud resident of Michigan’s Bay City area and a graduate of Michigan State University, embodies the spirit of public service and global citizenship. A recipient of the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award, Dean is widely regarded for his remarkable legal career, deep international engagement, and enduring commitment to people and purpose.

Dean earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from MSU, where his academic foundation sparked a lifelong passion for service, diplomacy, and collaborative leadership. His journey has taken him across the globe, yet he remains deeply rooted in his Michigan upbringing and the values he cultivated in East Lansing. Optimistic and relationship-driven, Dean approaches every endeavor with a deep appreciation for the people around him and a sincere belief in the good that can come from working together.

His professional accolades include being named a Wall Street Journal bestselling author and earning recognition as an Honorary Senator of the German Economy. He was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal by Queen Elizabeth II for lifelong service and has been elected a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His long list of fellowships, including Fulbright, Eisenhower, Marshall Memorial, Truman National Security, and others, demonstrates his dedication to learning from public servants and using those insights to strengthen communities worldwide.
