MSU will join thousands of other organizations across the globe in celebrating #GivingTuesday on November 29th. This international day of giving is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropic activation and support for communities and nonprofits.
Giving days like #GivingTuesday (and #GiveGreenDay, scheduled for March 14, 2023) can bring a profound and lasting impact on programs and students all across the MSU campus. Please consider making a gift to your favorite program on Nov. 29 to continue providing the Spartan experience to as many students as possible.
The MSU Crowdpower platform will feature dozens of fundraising projects seeking support on Giving Tuesday, including these four programs that are focused on improving health, wellness, literacy and quality of life for not only MSU students, but the larger MSU community.
The MSU Student Food Bank: serves 7,000-8,000 visitors per year, including students and families in the Spartan community. Financial gifts are the easiest and most effective way to help the Food Bank fight hunger in the community, and a gift of $100 enables the Food Bank to purchase up to 175 pounds of food and other household goods to add to its supply.

CAPS – Counseling and Psychiatric Services: is the primary mental health care center for MSU students, and is committed to connecting every student to the resources that they need in order to be successful and healthy. A gift of $150 to CAPS helps ensure that students can access counseling services—either in-person or via a telehealth appointment—for free, regardless of what their insurance or other university allocations cover.
The Student Organic Farm: is where MSU students from all areas of study go to immerse themselves in the daily operations of running a real farm, from seeding, planting and pruning, to cultivating, harvesting and marketing. The bounty produced at this 20-acre certified organic year-round educational farm is shared both on- and off-campus, at dining halls, local CSAs and the MSU Student Parent Resource Center. Gifts to the Student Organic Farm will help support the addition of a full-time student crew member this academic year.

The MSU Science Festival: brings together free programming from a diverse array of MSU research labs and teaching facilities to promote science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to audiences of all ages and to communities and neighborhoods across the state. A gift to support the MSU Science Festival helps to ensure that these dynamic educational experiences and hands-on activities can continue to be free for all.
