It was quite a year, Spartans, and it’s largely because of you. Your support garnered over $380,000,000 in the past fiscal year—a record-breaking achievement thanks to 65,506 committed donors going to bat for the future of MSU.
It’s been quite a fall, as well. With a full schedule of fun and events, the season has been nothing short of amazing. We were excited to See so many familiar faces return to East Lansing for Homecoming last month. Between a week packed with Spartan spirit, the parade, tailgating and so much more, it’s always an exciting time of year. For 2025, music mogul Paul Rosenberg joined us as the parade Grand Marshal. It was great to see him back in his old stomping grounds.
In October, we also had the privilege to host the recipients of our annual Grand Awards—an inspirational group of Spartans who embody excellence and elevate our great university through life-changing work and generosity. Since 1946, just 698 Spartans have received a Grand Award, and it’s an honor to congratulate this group on this special distinction.
All across the country, the Big Ten Blood Drive is in full swing. This annual event pits all 18 Big Ten schools against each other to see who can donate the most. And since you can visit any blood drive or center in the nation to participate, it’s a meaningful way to show your support from wherever you are. And maybe come home with some bragging rights. (As of printing, MSU is in 7th place. Just FYI.)
