Arts and letters alumnus publishes two award winning books

ARTS AND LETTERS ALUMNUS PUBLISHES TWO AWARD-WINNING BOOKS

Francis Tobienne, Jr., a 2005 graduate from the College of Arts and Letters recently published two books: Mandeville's Travails: Merging Travel, Theory and Commentary and Occultus: the Hidden and Macabre in Literature and Film.

An accomplished author, Tobienne boasts several acclaimed titles and countless awards. Mandeville’s Travails was nominated for the Phi Beta Kappa Christian Gauss Award and the Christian Gauss Award while Occultus was used as a manual on Literature, Film and Occult Studies at University of South Florida, St. Petersburg in the award-winning course: LIT 3451 online.

Tobienne currently works as a professor of literature, writing and humanities at South University in Tampa, Florida. He is also a senior research fellow at the Salvador Dali Museum.
