ALUMNA RECOGNIZED FOR PROMOTING STUDENT SUCCESS AT WMU

Dr. Jennifer Machiorlatti, professor of communication and undergraduate director for the School of Communication, was recognized as the recipients of this year's Distinguished Teaching Awards during WMU's Academic Convocation. She recieved both her Bachelor's and Master's of Arts degrees from MSU.

Machiorlatti has been a faculty member since 2004 and teaches in the areas of media and cultural studies, video and media production, media writing, film studies, communication and social justice, and intercultural communication.

Mentioning such skill sets as editing, screenwriting and writing a resume, nominators commended the way she pushes students to be the best they can be and said she works tirelessly to make students succeed.
