SPARTAN EDUCATION ALUM NAMED ASSOCIATE EDITOR OF SOUTH AFRICAN EDUCATION JOURNAL

Mohammad Faaiz Gierdien received his Ph.D. from the College of Education in 2001. Since then, he has worked as a mathematics professor at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, pushing the boundaries of the use of technology in the mathematics classroom.

Gierdien was just appointed to the Associate Editor position for Pythagoras, a South African Math Education journal. He will serve in this position from 2016-2017.
