Michael Hyter was recently selected by notable African-American lifestyle publication Savoy Magazine as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America.” Hyter is currently employed as Office Managing Director and a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry, a global people and organizational advisory firm.

Hyter oversees the company’s Executive Search, Hay Group and Futurestep divisions in the Washington, D.C., and Reston, Virginia. offices. He joined Korn Ferry in 2012, after the acquisition of Global Novations, where he served as president and managing partner.

Savoy selected candidates from a list of more than 500 professionals working in industries ranging from banking and finance to healthcare and technology. The selection committee  included members of Savoy’s editorial board, community leaders, and representatives from the academic and business arenas. The committee chose the 2016 “Top 100 Most Influential” award recipients based upon their exemplary professional accomplishments, community achievements and ability to inspire others.

“Mike’s commitment to talent management and leading the diversity and inclusion conversation has made an incredibly positive impact on Corporate America,” stated L.P. Green, II, Publisher of Savoy Magazine. “We are continually inspired by the success of his efforts and that of the other executives recognized, and we salute the corporations that support and value their diverse contributions.”

Hyter is a 1978 MSU graduate, with a Business Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management. He is also the author of several career-help books.
