MSU ALUMNUS TAKES LEADERSHIP ROLE AT HARVARD OFFICE OF STUDENT LIFE

On June 15, MSU alumnus Alexander R. Miller began his latest role at Harvard University as assistant dean of student life. He previously held positions at the University of Chicago, DePaul University, Tulane and Syracuse. Miller earned a master's degree in student affairs administration at MSu in 2002.
At Harvard, Miller will be responsible for providing oversight to the work of the student activities team in the Office of Student Life. The team works to advance the college’s priorities related to re-centering student life on campus and in the Houses.
Miller’s role will involve student involvement outside the classroom and successful implementation of large campus-wide events, developing leadership opportunities for students and overseeing the general advising and support for the 400 recognized student organizations at Harvard.
Miller joins this team as the college continues to search for a permanent dean of Student Life.
