SPARTAN ALUMNA LEADS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

Sharon S. Wenzl has been appointed as senior vice president of leading global automotive supplier Cooper Standard, corporate communications and community affairs. Her position as an executive officer comes in conjunction with her position on the Company's Global Leadership Team.

Wenzl has held several executive positions in the automotive industry prior to Cooper Standard. She is now responsible for leading the corporate communications function, as well as planning and implementing strategic communications programs in support of the Company's overall vision.  She also leads the Company's community affairs and oversees the Cooper Standard Foundation.

Wenzl graduated Michigan State University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication in 1981.
