Engineering Alumnus Doug Peters has been promoted from executive vice president to president of Christman Constructors, Inc., one of the country’s leading construction services firms. In 15 years of experience with the company, Peters has become an expert in concrete construction with a specialty in mass concrete and is a member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors Safety and Risk Management Council. Peters also served four years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a commissioned officer.

Peters will replace outgoing  president Mike Kettlewell, who will continue to serve Christman in an advisory capacity in the role of executive vice president for parent company Christman Enterprises, Inc. as well as on Christman's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

"Doug has increasingly played a crucial and significant role in CCI's continued growth and success," said Christman CEO Steve Roznowski. "His technical expertise, particularly in concrete construction, is nationally recognized and sought after across the industry, his dedication and commitment to excellence are second to none, and his 'Team First' leadership style delivers a level of collaboration that ensures success for all."

As president of CCI, he will oversee all production and provide general direction for all of the projects performed, including overall safety leadership, blending his extensive technical expertise as a licensed professional engineer with a strong management background.

Peters graduated from Michigan State University in 1992 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
