Msu alumna awarded 96 million family science grant

MSU ALUMNA AWARDED $9.6 MILLION FAMILY SCIENCE GRANT

A Spartan alumna recently was awarded a multi-million dollar grant to fund a five-year family science project.

Chelsea Garneau-Rosner '06 currently is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri in the department of Human Development and Family Science.

Along with Dr. David Schramm, Garneau-Rosner received a $9.6 million grant by the Administration for Children and Families for Show Me Healthy Marriages and Relations, a five-year effort to 'provide tailored case management services and deliver relationship and marriage education programming in addition to parenting, stepfamily, money management, personal well-being, and employability skills training.'

Garneau-Rosner and Schramm are partnering with three community organizations in Missouri and numerous of specialists and graduate students to provide these services.

Garneau-Rosner earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State in 2006.
