MSU ALUMNA TO OPEN DETROIT PARADE

A gifted songstress and recent graduate of Michigan State University will kick off America’s Thanksgiving Parade, Nov. 27 in Detroit.
Cassaundra Fitch, '14, was chosen to premier Tell Me I’m Not Dreaming, a new song by the acclaimed Detroit music producer and writer Dan Yessian. The pop song celebrates the Motor City’s revitalization.
Yessian wrote the song specifically for Fitch. He also signed her to his new independent recording company, Late to the Plate, according to a news release from The Parade Company, the non-profit organization responsible for the parade.
Fitch, 22, earned a dietetics degree. She is anative of Lathrup Village,MI. Her love of poetry led her to pursue music as a career.
For the past year, she has been writing songs and recording with the Yessian team. Her first official video Fire was released in September. Her next video will be released this winter.
“Cassi’s voice is perfect for singing my song, and both of us are so excited that the parade kicks off with this performance,” Yessian said.
