Feature: The 1994 Japan Bowl tour Was a Multi-Cultural Event

Though MSU lost the football game to Wisconsin, the 1994 Japan Bowl in Tokyo proved to be a tremendous multi-cultural experience. MSU players, students, coaches, staff, officials, and alumni and friends had many opportunities to savor life in one of the most pivotal countries in the global economy and to engage with Spartans living in Japan.
In addition to some very specific academic linkages between the president, trustees and Japanese educational leaders, the tour provided a myriad of cultural linkages at the individual level.
